Patinalicious for a Tag.

Hello and thanks for stopping by today. Fiona here with a tag tutorial using DecoArt Media Interference Acrylics in conjunction with DecoArt Metallic Lustres.

To start I die cut a Tag from Tando Creative Greyboard and then ran through an embossing folder to add background texture. I then mixed Media fluid acrylics in pyrole red and carbon black  and coated the tag to achieve a nice deep burgundy colour.

In a mini mister bottle filled with water add a couple of drops of DecoArt Media Interference Turquoise and give it a shake to mix. Spritz over the tag letting it pool in areas and leave to dry naturally. You end up with a wonderful Shimmery Patina effect.

Highlight some of the raised areas on the tag and all the edges with DecoArt Tarnished Brass Metallic Lustre and buff to a shine when dry.

Die cut a small arch from greyboard and apply DecoArt Media crackle paste. Once dry apply a coat of of DecoArt Media fluid acrylic in metallic gold dry with a heat tool. Next apply a coat of Black Antiquing cream and wipe back when dry to reaveal all the lovely cracks.

Die cut some wings from Tando Geyboard and apply DecoArt texture sand paste and once dry give them a coat of Media fluid acrylic in paynes grey, followed by a coat of Media fluid acrylic interference turquoise. Apply Tarnished brass metallic lustre to a tiny arch frame add a vintage image and seal the image with DecoArt triple thick glaze.

Apply DecoArt texture sand paste to an mdf  key embellishment and when dry give a coat of Tarnished brass metallic lustre. Using one of the small bookplates from Andy's industrial elements set I applied Tarnished brass metallic lustre and when dry buffed to a shine. I added a couple of brads and a title from a vintage bookpage.

I then assembled all elements onto the tag to finish. Here's another look.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by. I hope you have enjoyed the process.
